Getting it out

December 30, 2003

My bad, I left some important info out...

I apologize, I know there's a lot of flash USB memory devices out there but I forgot to mention in my previous post that what really makes this device different than those is that where devices from Targus, M-Systems, Disc on key and Trek will store data, Migo is powered by a microprocessor that allows the user to select, retrieve, store and upload settings and files to a host computer. Log on to the password-protected Migo, and up pop your settings. Log off and everything's stored back on your Migo and all the original settings are restored on the host PC. Using the Migo you will be able to access files at a cyber cafe, a client office or the airport. "It goes beyond mobile devices. It replicates my complete computing enviroment. When I pull it out, that computer never know I was here" said a very happy user of this fantastic Gizmo.

Speaking of technology

I just found this information that I know it will make a lot of people happy (er).

What is it?

Is called Migo and it's a thumb-sized flash drive that replicates your PC desktop, files, 30 days worth of Outlook (not Outlook express) e-mail and web page favorites on any Windows PC.

What is the cost?

It could go from $150 for a 128 MB version to $200 for a 256 MB version.

Where can I find it?

Although it is not yet available at retail you can learn more about this fantastic gizmo here.

Frappuccino

Sometimes you go about your life without paying too much attention to some of the things that surround you mostly technology because you pretty much take it for granted, but some other times you have a little time to slow down and take it easy and that's when you start noticing weird things about people. I was at Starbucks Coffee this evening with my wife you know, chilling and talking, sipping on a lttle frappuccino when suddenly a guy walked in with a laptop in his hands sat down and starting doing something on his computer and after a couple of minutes I saw the guy as if he was talking to himself and that's when I noticed a little cable coming out of his ear and going into a little device sitting on top of the table, a cell phone, so he wasn't crazy after all he was just talking to somebody on the phone while surfing the net at the same time, amazing! Technology at its best.

I haven't caught up with Christmas yet

Really, what I mean is that I haven't been able to feel the christmas spirit inside me yet because truly I don't believe you can enjoy christmas when you are worried about how are you going to put food in your table after all the christmas shopping is done and you don't have a job to fall back on after that. That's the reality I'm facing, just a couple of days ago (December the 17th) the company that I used to work for, closed its doors and I am out of the work force now and it happen just the week before christmas, isn't it something? Good thing though is that I'm not scared, just a little worried but not scared.

What were the signs telling me?

As posted a couple of days ago, there were a bunch of signs pushing me in one direction, I don't believe in coincidences, so the only possible explanation is that this signs were coming from the highest level of intelligence there is. Everybody have different names for this intelligence some call it Fate, some Destiny I would rather call it GOD. God has kept on sending me signs for a little while now and yesterday was the sign that was the frosting of the cake, let me explain myself because this is starting to become a riddle. I've been thinking to start my own business for quite some time now but I was employed and that made it a little difficult to start up my own thing although I've been taking some customers on a part time basis (mostly on the weekends) Yesterday when I went to work I found the company that I work for completely dismantled they had completely tore down the company because taking advantage of the slow season (this is it for most companies that don't sell christmas related stuff) they plan to move to a different location leaving everybody hanging without a job for the next 2 to 3 weeks. Although as they said this is a perfect timing for them the same quite don't apply to us the people who work for the company because like eveybody know being without a job and without pay in christmas time is not exactly the most anticipated situation one expects to be in during this season. But like philosophers like to say when one door closes down there is a window of opportunity that opens up. I believe this to be the best time to take this signs and capitalize on them after all I won't be slaving away for any company for the next 2 or 3 weeks, so What do you think? :-))

Thinking of changing

Well as you can see (although I am not sure that too many people are actually seeing my blog) I've been changing my Blog a lot lately. Almost every day there's something that has changed as far as layout and design is concerned and I will continue to do that until I find a design that really satisfies me. In the meantime I will continue to learn and practice CSS and apply what I've learned to my blog as an experiment.

The Last Samurai

Yesterday I went to the Movies to watch The last samurai what a wonderful movie that is. I would recommend it to anybody who like me, has always been fascinated with the japanese culture. Tom Cruise definitely needs to be recognized as the excellent actor he is and I would say this would be his long awaited opportunity. Good luck to him.

Day full of signs??

Today is another one of those days where if you pay close attention to it you could see the hands of God, literally, at work. I would say that I received many signs showing me the path that I must be following. When you are looking for answers and you pay close attention there is no way that you could not see the signs, so buckle up because the trip is about to begin.

I'm back

After all this time I finally feel like writing again. It has happened all kinds of stuff but I guess I will be telling you all about it little by little. For the time being I will tell you that I was feeling like a prisoner in my new job sitting there all day long dealing with all kinds of weird people demanding and asking for all kinds of weird stuff but today I finally made a trip to the outside world and it felt so damn goood!! I had forgotten what it felt like to talk to people and sell them a product and/or service that I'm so excited about feeling that freedom from being confined to 4 walls that I'd really like to repeat the experience as often as possible. I visited two prospects today and I sold both. :-)
